    Why would Nordic countries have a word for kilt before they were adopted in Scotland?

    It wouldn't matter if the kilt was invented and first worn in Canklow. The question was about Scottish players not wearing kilts. Your first attempt at kilt origin googling produced Ireland. Another waste of time.
