MillersMad Matchthread - AFC Wimbledon v The Millers

It's like the summer has passed too quickly again yet not quickly enough if you know what I mean.

At last the club is living up to its incrementation policy although saying at last may be an injustice to everyone who's at the club working hard behind the scenes.
We have all longed for the club to buy cheap and sell high well this closed season we've sold Vaulks and Ajayi but the big surprise is that we've replaced them and quickly! OK the defence needs one or two more additions but apart from that we continue to be a stable club with assetts throughout the team.

BUT! It's not about what goes on behind closed doors! It's what happens ont pitch that counts and what I believe ladies and gentlemen, what I truly believe is that we haven't for a long time gone into a new season with as much optimism!

The players that we've signed have better potencial than before, The style of play in the friendlies has been different than I can remember and not just for a try this seems to be a genuine 3 up front start to a season with more powerful, strong, skillful and commited forruds than ever before. Jees we have 5 good fit forruds to choose from and each of them have proven that thy can play and score goals! Ok not massive amounts of goals between them but I doubt if they've ever played with such a strong forrud line themselves! All bodes well!

Blimey I'm excited and I've not mentioned the strength that we have in Midfield. 5 damn good midfielders and only one of them is on loan!

Defence! All of our own with the keeper from a prem side on loan for the season! Now that's never worked for us before has it?

It's our young team with the odd slattering of experience and know how. Fearless and brave and all soonto become Millers legends!

Enjoy the math one and all.

    I'ts great to be back!

17 years since we won an opening away game. It’s time for a change.

Hi Eddy. I was down near Agde during the first heat wave of the season. Is that down your way?

It's always been hot there when I've been. Is it the festival time with the red berrets and hankys? I went to a stag do down there, well just south of Condom with a group, I have to say that I don't remember where or that much about it apart from the great atmoshere, the good laugh and the duck we nocked from the siide of the road and kept as a pet for the night.

Welcome Millersmadsters around the world to a hot sunny day in Wimbledon... The ground isn't actually in Wimbledon though. Still a bit of travelling to do, just getting refreshments
