I would not, and could not support another team BT. No matter how much I get frustrated with our Board.
You mention on another reply you were on the Orient game, Yes me too !
I have also been on the dreaded Hereford home defeat was it 6 or 7 nill
    Grimsby away losing 6.5
Torquay away on a Tuesday evening again another trouncing , I could go on !!

But BT, That was then, and this is now. After all that travelling supporting my club, through every division, and back again, I just feel IMO, We as supporters deserve a little more ambition from our Board, Which I really cannot see at the moment.
Whoever pulls on the Claret jersey, I am fully behind them,..But our Board less so.

I'm happy, actually more than happy. Let's not forget Nick Pope, like a new signing but absolutely top class, and maybe better than Tom Heaton. OK glass half full but time will tell if he is our best No. 1 ever.

It's the constant carping about the Board that really gets on my tits sinkov. I cannot understand what Mike Garlick can possibly do to improve on how we are progressing? Ground improvements are constant, disabled area is now top notch, Gawthorpe is amazing, SIXTEEN full internationals in the first team squad, a 3-0 opening day win and some folks are still not happy. Rigg is obviously starting to be effective, but still moan, moan phucking moan. It's like listening to a bad wife, nag, nag, nag & nag.

Incidentally, I did mention even the Child Bride thinks Wood is "rubbish"! I was trying to keep up with a running total of how many times he was offside on Saturday, but lost interest after counting thirteen. Yet he still manages to be the perfect foil for our Ash!

… and "Yes", previous windows have pinpointed a distinct lack of ability in our Recruitment Team, but the recent arrival of Pieters, Jay Rod, BPF and Drinkwater suggests to me, that even that area is progressing!

Well done CM , you will have had good odds on that bet i'm sure.

Agree with thee BT , we all have differing opinions as individuals and not agreeing on the direction the Chairman , Board or Manager are taking the club is as it should be , its when people's opinions border on hatred, ridiclue & mockery that I don't get.
The Chairman and Board are Burnley fans and just because some people dont agree on their strategy it doesnt change that fact , i'm sure we all wish we were spending more money bringing in top quality players and I wish we could bring in some young talent with pace and mobility that are first team ready playing entertaining football , but its difficult to argue with the work being done .
We are starting our fourth successive season in whats allegedly the strongest league in the world , qualified to play in europe , beaten Man.Utd , Liverpool , Spurs , Man.City & Chelsea away , spent over 125M on players over the last 4 seasons have a wage bill of over 80M a season , spent good money on new improved Gawthorpe training facilities , disabled facilities and are making a profit putting us in a healthy financial position going forward .
I'm confident that anybody looking back to this period in 25 , 50 , 100 years , will not see it as being a negative time but positive period in the History of BFC.

Were you at the same game Supersub? I'll check out the old hand tally counter, it may have been the Child Bride clicking it every time Tarkowski came into view!
How many flying headers did he have? Hope you enjoyed the game, the driving must have been pretty awful?

"It's the constant carping about the Board that really gets on my tits" as has been said it works both ways in that for over 50 minutes we played poorly yesterday, if we'd have played a team with any intent we'd have been sucking it up but we was let off the hook by a poor (just like us) Southampton team, Aye we came good in the end but to harp on about us being able, competitive and good after that performance gets on my tits BT. but Its differences of opinions like it or not, you said you lost count of Wood being offside, yet a fellow poster said he was offside 3 times.

Ground improvements are par for the course with PL or FIFA regs, and in reality PL money has paid for this, just like the disable structure's and the wooden seats in the CF having to be changed to plastic.

Gawthorpe has been completed so it needs to be appreciated but its history, just like your 16 Internationals.

Rigg was employed at Q.P.R, Man City and Fulham, with all his so called connections why did he do sweet FA at these Clubs and why do you think he's going to do any better here ? as at the moment he hasn't.

No matter how you and others sweeten the transfer window it was poor (again), a last minute rush for a creative Midfield player (when we've needed one for ages) found us luckily getting one, but one who has hardly played for 24 months and then we only have him for 6 months, an ageing left back who O.K. assisted with 2 goals at the weekend but was woeful with his defending, a young keeper for the future and JayRod who is an upgrade on Vokes and Crouch, hardly strengthening the first 11 with NO outlay as the money we got for Heaton covering everything, No wonder we are high on the list of Football Clubs who are in the Black because we don't speculate and seemingly just wing it.

Garlick persisted too long with Brian Laws, he had over 20 applicants for the vacant job when Garlick eventually got off his arse and dismissed Laws (Don't forget he's a Burnley fan), he got lucky appointing Dyche who had done nothing at Watford to show any worth.

Garlick could not be bothered to get on a plane for an AGM. (Don't forget he's a Burnley Fan)

Garlick loaned BFC along with other Directors money at exorbitant interest rates, some more than 4 times Banks at the time would have charged (Don't forget he's a Burnley fan)

Garlick (in his own words) did most of the Recruitment work himself for over 5 windows before he stood down realising he was out of his depth and needed better, and with his non expert knowledge recruits another nobody in Rigg probably hoping to quell disapproval from fans which for me has not worked, but he's probably hoping Rigg will do a Dyche and perform better than his history, here's hoping for another miracle.

Garlick gave interviews and told the world we had £24 Million in the Bank, What logical reason does an ordinary man let alone a Chairman say such things (Don't Forget he's a Burnley Fan)

Again a few interview where he boasts of breaking the transfer window again and again yet fails miserably, its not that he failed in this, its the fact that Chairmen should not promise things that are very far from certain, surely again, even normal folk do not put themselves up to be shot down let alone a Chairman (Don't Forget he's a Burnley fan).

Garlick oversees everything that happens at Turf Moor, the Buck stops with him, we are supposed to be a PL Club (probably bordering now on a regular PL Club), but there is mess all around with the "Official Burnley site looking amateurish especially with the online shop which has not advanced in years with terrible site experience and 3rd rate products, but with that we are competing with hard graft on the field, an ageing squad, and a lot of luck with not investing money in the first 11, something has got to give sooner or later, we have winged it enough and that luck will surely run out, such a shame when money IS available to better ourselves.

To add to the above paragraph the latest gaff Garlick and his BFC appointed staff made was against Southampton in the Cricket Stand, they sold tickets for seats that did not exist, the purchases (and there was many) were herded out and stood outside the JH Stand for over 20 minutes in the pouring rain waiting for turnstiles to be opened for them, some of them pensioners who got soaked to the skin and was expected to sit in wet clothes for the entire game, it does not shock me as it stinks of incompetence and not being on top of the job, the same can be said for the media people at Turf Moor, we signed Pieters, he was pictured at Manchester airport talking to Bardsley before boarding the plane on pre season, he got on, he was training at the camp, our media folk deleted his picture at the airport and we waited for 4 hours for conformation that we had signed him, absolutely pathetic.

For me and others Garlick's been fortunate with where we are now, I do not begrudge him having that fortune one little bit, what I don't understand is his reluctance to speculate and improve our chances, he's backed Dyche with a good wage, yes Vydra and Wells are things I don't understand and must be addressed within and quickly (but again will they ? ), so why not push the boat out that little bit extra with getting better players on a higher wage, we have the dosh sitting there looking good but doing buggar all for the team.

For those throwing back suggestions of many Clubs spending big and falling by the way side, I don't want to spend that big, just bigger than the measly amounts we do, plus look at Stoke City, they winged it along with a couple more and look at them now, and also for Casper and anyone else who cannot be bothered to read long posts, sometimes it needs to be said and needs to be read to see one's point, after all the main function of the board is to read.
