Age old question of whether you choose a leader for his captaincy skills or just make your best and most reliable player the captain.
There’s hardly a long list of candidates, Morgan perhaps apart, and I expected Root to keep the job for another three or four years but if the collapses continue as they are he’ll do well to hold onto his position.
Needs very careful handling from a management who aren’t exactly covering themselves in glory at the moment.
