I think The Who died as a real edgy terrific live band when Moon died. I remember they were awful at Live Aid. Had some friends who saw them at Wembley a few weeks back complete with live orchestra and they said it didn’t work and a fair few were walking out. For anyone that hasn’t, it’s well worth reading up on Moon and what he got up to. It seems completely made up and exaggerated but it wasn’t. The stories about when he and Ollie Reed were drinking buddies will stick long in the mind. All these people such as Liam Gallagher who kept telling us they are the bad boys of rock simply have nothing close on this guy. A true on off
