These were the real benefits to come out of Rangers' demise, as we're seeing now we're down. To change 11-1 to 9-3 could have seen reintroduction of gate receipts being shared which any fair-minded individual would argue really isn't fair on the bigger clubs. I think that would have completely unbalanced the game at the time, with 4th tier teams playing Rangers, for example, receiving hundreds of thousands of pounds to do nothing with. Anyway, that's my take on it. As for Bury, they've been kicked out the EFL, but they are still intact for now and can look to join one of the pyramid leagues and get back up, same as AFC Wimbledon and Salford City. So it's not the end for them. I think Bolton are phukked, too much debt
I'd go for some form of shared gate.

I'd love to ask Celtic rangers fans where they see their clubs in the next decade.

Celtic going for 20?.....if they ain't gonna get to the top table in Europe surely even there fans can see a bit more of a competitive league is good....if your a football fan.

Still thinks it's better if they go but to where is the question.

Just to add I shared my pool knowledge with jdfc last time we played and only won 11-1 instead of the usual granny.....bit more competitive....without altering general status quo......no really much to do with topic but I really ****ing enjoyed typing that.😎

Football as we know it is dying, the top levels are becoming behemoths and the rest of us after the crumbs. I hear people in pubs arguing about VAR and being super experts without having gone to a game in the last decade. The beauty of football was always that it was the same game everywhere, now it is not with various rules and regulation changes. Not sure we can ever get it back now.
Those people seem to "love" the English premier league but laugh at Scottish football....I don't get it.

Boy told me the other day he hates man city but loves man u as they are the underdog and live within their means.....irony seemed completely lost on him.

The whole game down south is like a house of cards ,TV money is bonkers and the media are constantly telling us it's the best league in the world which it isn't.
The theory is that the money from the top clubs filter down to the grass roots as they like to keep telling us ,a bit like our political system as it stands ,this of course doesn't happen as Bury have found out ,not sure how Bolton got into so much debt but I believe Bury FC is predominantly owed to HMRC.
Won't be the last but might take a big scalp to go into admin to force some change ,however with parachute payments hitting near £100 million the blow is softened and so the cycle continues.

I can only guess the boy you were speaking to was one the the prawn sandwich brigade that Roy Keane spoke of ,I have followed Man United since the 76 cup final as a wee impressionable laddie , they were a mid table team then at best.
Yes certainly irony on his behalf as the glazers have the club in millions of debt albeit serviceable up to now.
15 years ago you couldn't buy a City top in Scotland never mind Dundee....

When I was 10 our Sunday league team went to Manchester for a week, played a couple of games and trained with man city youths, well got to kick a ball about for half n hour with them.

We were taken to a lpool v man u game (midweek night game) at lpool, in the away end right at the back.

Stupidest place ever to take a group of boys, was mayhem.

The segregation was only about 5 or 6 yards and barriers about 4 foot high.
