Thread: 4th Test

    4th Test

Overton in Woakes out. Don't think anyone predicted that. Let's hope the selectors have got it right.

    Here we go!

Big mistake in my opinion! Could be wrong though. Broad just got Warner - again!

    Stupid decision for me.

Curran was deserving of the chance if Woakes was being left out.

I think Starc will skittle us.

    Australia 497-8 dec: Smith 211, Labuschagne 67, Paine 58, Starc 54*
    England 23-1
    Strong position for them....

I think the situation with Smith has become ridiculous.

Root’’s under bowling of Archer showed a serious lack of nous from our so called captain.

The lack of a consistent plan to Smith is farcical.

Bowl short at him and bowl wider of off stump ball after ball.

The choice of Overton was nonsensical.

Curran was by far the better choice both as a bowler and as a batsman and fielder.

I think Root’s time as Captain is over after this series and Ed Smith and James Taylor need scrutiny as selectors.

Ashes: England v Australia, fourth Test (day three of five)
    Australia 497-8 dec: Smith 211, Labuschagne 67
    England 200-5: Burns 81, Root 71, Hazlewood 4-48
    England trail by 297 runs
Was working today but I think some late in the day wickets undid England...
