    No, not surprised.

The important thing is that a few top executives of a struggling company got their snouts in and emptied the trough before it all went t:ts up.

This sort of thing is the lifeblood of the "system". We should all be thankful. The likes of the TC execs are what's keeping the likes of Corbyn out. Long live the establishment.

There go my cheap flights back to Blighty.
Been using Thomas Cook last few times for around $600 return. The planes were new and had the downstairs loos, which is a great idea. Not much freight on holiday jets so the loos are in the hold area freeing up more area for seats in the cabin.
However, they flew into Orlando which is possibly one of the worst airports in the world and gives a horrendous first impression of Florida.
Looks like BA from Tampa from now on for more than double the cost but at least the bar is free.

That must be very comforting to those that have lost holidays they were looking forward to. Make sure you tell them if you meet any.

They’ll love hearing owt like that.

I feel bad for all the stranded passengers and those like Bob H who was due to fly on his hols today. I feel bad for Thomas Cook too though. They tried to take on the big boys and for a budget airline the seats were spacious and the crew very smart and friendly. Long haul anyway, can’t speak for short haul.

Norwegian trying the same thing and they’re in a pickle too.

Why do you assume I'm even remotely surprised WanChai ?

Aren't you a little sad for the 21000 Thomas Cook employees

It wouldn't have gone amiss though would it?
