Posted this thread in early August still smarting from what this goalkeeper did v Derby to start the calamity of that night. Today he has cost us 1 point (not 3 because we were never going to score today). He will cost us many more this year.

All he had to do was catch the ball, but instead he jumped a foot in the air, like he did several times last season, weakly punching the ball straight forward into the oncoming players for it to rebound in to the net.

He's made a couple of good saves this year too, and his distribution suits the tactics.

And crucially he's really good at spinning the ball to sit it in place after it's gone out of play for a goal kick, and gelling his hair to death.

We've solved so many perennial problems under Bielsa, but goalkeeping isn't one of them.
