    Martin Keown

On motd 2,Matty reminds me of a young Paul Scholes, him and his brother were running midfield like Scholes and Carrick.

Early days but if the brothers keep on improving we might struggle to keep them.

We might struggle to keep them but at this time we have them and that's what counts.

A club the size of Newcastle shouldnt struggle to hang on to anyone, shouldnt be a stepping stone for anyone either.
This is Ashley's club though so unless he goes which I cant see its inevitable these 2 will.Yesterday we could have had 4 players on the pitch that came through our Academy if Dummett played.
Now just imagine what we could unearth locally with better facilities and not just a paddling pool and a few wheelie bins.

Ashley makes sure we are nothing more than a talent feeder team for ""larger"" clubs.

He will sell even more players if we threaten a trophy.

He said he isn't going anywhere until we win one which means never as long as the money keeps rolling in.

He will make sure of that too.

    We deserve better.

This. Lovely to see the brothers doing well. I think they will both become good players. But please don't call them Scholes and Carrick, two of the best CM's in the history of the PL, after one game.
