Sorry guys, you are both wasting your time. This ain't going to fly.![]()
Why would the EU insist that there can be no further extensions. They still would like A50 revoked mainly for financial reasons. Without the UK payments the remaining EU countries will have to meet the shortfall.
There are an awful lot of things Boris couldn't do BT, starting with a London Mayoral election many years ago. I wouldn't put anything beyond our Boris, he makes doing the impossible look easy. Having said that, I won't be putting money on this getting through. We'll see.
There are an awful lot of people in the EU fed up to the back teeth with this Brexit farce, they want us out, but they want to screw us for as much as possible, which has been their intention all along. I doubt anyone in the EU expects us to revoke A50, not with Boris and Nigel running at nearly 50% in the polls and an election coming up. Macron to name just one wants us out asap, Juncker said no more extensions yesterday, and they get £39 billion up front should this deal get through. And besides, this is not really Boris's deal, it's not even May's deal, it's the EU's deal, they wrote the vast majority of it, parts of it had to be translated from the German. They'll let us stew for a bit, while they think the traitors on this side can still win, but they're happy with this deal, it gives them everything they want.
That really is civil war at that point vintage,
Sooner or later they will have to accept and respect the vote ( should have been a long time ago but wasn’t. ).
I can see very troubled times ahead if they start down that road again , people have just had enough and this whole debacle was instigated by government talking hard or soft Brexit arguing and confusing people with lies to stir up unrest.
They should be ashamed of themselves all of them.
Bad times are coming if they try this I can feel it.
I voted Leave and would do so again. I always preferred leaving with a deal and that is now a possibility. The Remainer majority in Parliament however will no doubt continue to obstruct deny and delay so may very well vote it down. If they do I hope the EU refuse an extension and confirm we are out with no deal. Not what I want but the egg on the faces of Corbyn Sturgeon Swinson et al will be a joy to behold.
