Lucky that a ragtag conscripted army went into the Falklands, to boost her popularity at a time when she was floundering in the polls and hanging onto her political career by a thread. Lucky that she inherited billions of pounds worth of north sea oil revenue every year, which she pi55ed up the wall by giving tax cuts to the rich. That cash injection helped prop the country up in the 80's against record levels of unemployment and high interest rates. Along with the bog standard lack of public spending you always get under the Tories...

Contrast that with Blair, he trebled the NHS budget in his first term, when he came into power in 1997. introduced the minimum wage, employed thousands more teachers, nurses, police, doctors and fireman. He doubled the education budget. Reduced waiting times at NHS. Lifted thousands of pensioners out of poverty. We had low interest rates and 10 years of continuous economic growth.

He gets vilified now for the Iraq war and maybe he deserves it. But his domestic record was fantastic.
You are f king clueless.

Don’t preach to me about Thatcher when you haven’t got the first clue about the basket case she had to sort out......we were less than f king bankrupt due to your ideology.

If you want to talk about financial competence try asking Gordon Brown about the majority of our gold reserves he sold off when their value was that of a Mars Bar.

The Left can’t be trusted with money, they spend it like its their own.
