Let me put it this way for you Raging: I think that current Labour economic policies would cause a huge outflow of capital and jobs from this country. Applying your logic, should I be pressing for us to allow the EU (or perhaps the German government) to set the fiscal policy for this country after we have left?

I think Skinner is wrong for the reasons that I have explained, lover.

As we move forward there will undoubtedly be periods of Tory government and periods of Labour government as determined by the votes of the British people.

A party that delivered just six days of paid leave per year as Raging fears, would face the judgement of the electorate on that. That's how democracy works.

Yet you were perfectly happy with this arrangement in 2016 when you voted Remain? What changed? I think you can't be just respecting the vote as that doesn't change your happiness with accepting eu laws etc in 2016. Am I missing something or do we send MEPs and appoint commissioners to the EU when we are members, but stop doing so when we leave?

1. When I voted remain in 2016, did I , theoretically at least, have an ability to have a democratic say in the making of EU law?

2. When we leave the EU will that ability to have a say end?

These are questions that lend themselves to yes or no answers, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

During the case’s first hearing on October 9, the Government’s lawyers assured the court that Mr Johnson would adhere to the law in writing and before the judges – despite the Prime Minister’s repeated public declarations that he would never request an extension.

If the three judges find Mr Johnson has failed to uphold the law, they could find him in contempt, with potential punishments including a fine or even a jail sentence.

Come on I expect better from a man of the law...so I need to bring this piccy back up to remind you...

No porkies my angel. I told you that he couldn't go to jail for not complying with the Benn Act. This case is about whether he failed to comply with the undertaking given to the Scottish Court during the SNP driven nuisance litigation last week (or was it the week before).

Oh apologies on my misunderstanding. I'm not bothered why he goes to jail as long as he goes that's the key thing for me. He could go to jail for me for wearing his underpants the wrong way round. You have cheered me up now cos at least I know its a possibility.
