Hello LB, is Steve Dale still the owner at Bury? If so imagine you had a spare million rattling around in your bank account, would you hand it over to him? I wouldn't.

They have benefitted from Bury's expulsion from the FA Cup by gaining a bye into the 2nd Round. They have also received £36,000 for doing so. As the lowest club in the competition that money will be invaluable to them. However, they have decided to give a portion of this to Bury, an extremely magmanimous gesture. If a cub of this stature can do this, why couldn't the likes of Man. Utd., Man. City, Liverpool, etc. have done the same. A million pounds would be nothing to these clubs and if a half dozen or so of them had done this Bury would still be in the Football League. No wonder the Premiership is called the 'greed league'. Well done Chichester Town and let's hope that they can progress even further in the competition.

Surely you’d only give the money if it was to a new Bury set up not involving the previous owner!?
It’s big of Chichester in a way but I do wonder if this smacks of trying to look good by them.
The fact is that once Bury do start a Phoenix club they’ll get fantastic gates for whatever standard they have to restart at so the cash being given to them by Chichester will be dwarfed within a game or two.
It’ll be ironic if a few years from now Bury beat them in match that denies them promotion or relegated them.
Personally,I’d have kept all the money or given a bit to charity rather than give it to Bury.
I think it is actually Chichester City, however, a great gesture from a small club which puts those bigger cash cow clubs to shame.
Yes I do believe that they are in the Isthmian South East with yourselves and our rivals from down the hill Hythe Town. Do you still play your home games early on Saturdays?
Yes Tip, mostly Saturday kick offs but there are a few Sunday ones. Generally KO time is 2 pm. I think this to allow visiting sides to be able to fly out back home the same day. GFC away games also start early, again so they can fly home on the same day.
