    Defence last night.

We looked very suspect against the bottom side. Particularly concerning was our pace. Furlong and Bartley were well outpaced a number of times and Ferguson sadly had his poorest game and rightly subbed. He looked a bit disinterested? (I hope he hasn’t had his head turned aka Saddo)
Is it zonal marking, but we really seem so unorganised defending set pieces. Again we saw Bartley backing off for far too long when facing their attacking forwards. I wish he wouldn’t ‘follow the ball’ and learn to take up positional positions.
To be fair, he excels with his heading clearances.
We need Hegazi back and performing at his best and developing a sound partnership with AJ.
I’m sure Bilic has it covered, but it is now quite clear how to play against us. We are suspect against the break and easily bullied.
However...top of the league is better than I was expecting so remaining positive. COYB

He isn't everyone's cup of tea but we are a poorer team without Phillips. We also need to mix our play from time to time. A long ball out of defence to Austin (or another striker) may well catch the opposition on the hop. As it is they get everyone into position before we reach the halfway line. We may well get more from Zahore if we were to do this. He scored plenty for Cardiff in this division.

Austin is looking like a player low on confidence af the moment. Had a great chance last night but the effort was poor. Let's hope that a goal or two in the next couple of weeks will inspire his game. If not, then we will have to go into the transfer market if we are going to maintain our promotion challenge in the New Year.

Last night was a great night for our promotion campaign , a reality check ,showed what great team spirit and a great coach.
Take away Barnsley's time wasting, on play they deserved a share of the points and can see them climbing the table.

I think another centre half is required in the January window as well as another striker.

Ohh is that right, did we really play the time wasting 'card' ?.
Most away teams do this though dont they, especially when they are leading and doing everything they can to hang onto a lead.
I hear though at 2-2, both teams were still looking to win it, rather than settle for the draw ?.

The manager made very good subs. Ferguson is brilliant defensively but has no left foot and offers little going forward. Townsend played well and would be my choice for home games when we are going to be more attack minded.

I think 8 players booked including the Goalkeeper says a lot about your tactics until it was 2-2 then strangely you did try and win the game, there is nothing wrong with getting players behind the ball but your goalkeeper was time wasting after 10 mins having said that i was impressed by a couple of your players and don't think you will have an issue staying up.

My son said it was the most blatant and frustrating time wasting tactics he’d ever seen by the Barnsley keeper.

It’s time these sort of antics were stopped.

A 20 second clock should be out on the keeper from the moment he’s saved the ball and has it under his control.

A “three strikes and a red card” should put this problem to bed.
