    Darren moore

Nice to see him doing well with Doncaster rovers. Top 6 and another 7-1 win to match the 7-1 win v QPR with the baggies.

Just wait til Real Madrid and Barcelona come sniffing around for him, you heard it he first Boinger. I heard AC Milan and Ajax were enquiring on the services of DM while he was at the Albion. What fools we were to let him go.

It would have been rough on him if he bombed as a manager after getting us in the play offs. Good guy.

I will watch with interest. Probably a new broom thing like he was here. The bloke to me seemes clueless with even the most basic aspects of the game.
In all my years watching Albion i had never seen a manager take off a centre forward for a centre half when the game was there to be won, then a few minutes later he took the same centre half off replacing him with another centre half, thus using all his subs before extra time.
Abo****ely moronic, thank feck we don't have hime here anymore and have a manager who actually understands the game.
If Moore hadn't been loved here as a player nobody would have felt anything at all for his management ability...or lack of it.

I disagree with that, but isn't that what this forum is for...

I liked the fact we gave him an opportunity. When he was caretaker he managed wins of Tottenham, Newcastle and Man U and a draw with Liverpool - this was a side who when he took over was low on confidence and had lost about 12 in a row (I'm not sure the actual number).

Then once we were relegated, he had an ageing side, a poor technical director (IMO) and an absent owner in the Championship. He tried to change our style of play and it wasn't a perfect year. The game you are talking about was a cup game v Brighton at home I think? He played the kids in that game and we were 1-0 up until the last minute when another defensive howler let them in...

In the end he left with us 4th in the table, and although we were in bad form at the time - still in with a shout of promotion. I think that has helped him get the job at Doncaster and I wish him well. He handled himself with great dignity and class.

If you remember i had an hissy fit on here when we appointed him. He is to management what Zubi was to goalkeeping. No place for sentiment in football. He had never managed before at any level yet was given the job at the start of a huge season because he was cheap and people liked him.
Not many paople are actually as thick as they look but he is.
