Premier League begins fixture planning for 2022 World Cup season

Not sure I’d like a winter break tbh but its maybe a shorter one than Prem for championship, L1&2 will carry on during the World Cup

It's going to end in tears!

Empty grounds, full pubs , players suffering from heat exhaustion, clubs v country problems.

There will definitely be teams in league one that lose players during the World Cup.
Is it too late to hold it in a footballing nation during the summer?

    Oh please no.

We don’t need more sacrifices to the great god FIFA

Let them sweat, collapse and expire on the altar of greed.

Wouldn't hurt for the Prem to have a winter break like the rest of the European clubs. See how it pans out and take it from there.
Thing is how many friggin repeats of matches would we have to endure through Sky?

Ping! What a great incentive to cancel my Sky subscription on sports.

It could be a advantage to the European teams as most players will be fresh and match fit instead of like now the tourney starts about the time of close season/pre season.

It amazes me (and I’m glad that it does) that there’s not been a terrorist incident at a major sporting event like the World Cup.
