Obviously, it's games like Chesterfield where JOB's absence is keenly felt.

We need at least four points from the next two games, and victory at Ebbsfleet in the FA Cup, to stop the doubts about Ardley returning (they are never far from the surface for most fans, I suspect). Let's hope Saturday was a blip and we can go on another unbeaten run and cement our place in the top 7 ahead of the January transfer window - then we will need to decide whether to add more quality and look for the kind of mammoth winning run that might get us challenging for the top spot.
The doubts about Ardley will certainly return after games like that. To me the players looked like they were sticking to his game plan no matter what and that made it so simple for an eight-man defence to snuff out an attack devoid of ideas. We may have had more possession than we're used to but did we know how to turn it into goals? No, did we bolleaux, the players didn't and nor did Ardley. I'm not yet after his head but it's the quality in the team that has got us winning games, not Ardley's nous.

There are certain players that Ardley will play most of the time, regardless of our bad they are playing. Both Booty and Osbourne seem to be the players that are forever being left out to accommodate these players.
Notts will remain in this toss pot league whilst ever Ardley continues to play his cronies....

And yet Ardley was the one that signed Booty (who despite not being bad on the ball has never looked fit enough to be a footballer, hence the level he finds himself at) and has played Sam Osbourne more than Nolan or Kewell ever even thought about.

Osbourne looked cr*p the last time he played, his redeeming quality seems to be that he's not afraid of having a shot but other than that he's not brought a great deal to the side in his appearances so far that I've watched, for what it's worth I'd have put him on against Chesterfield as it was so frustrating watching us get to the edge of their box over and over again only for nobody to pull the trigger and shoot. I also would have put Booty on in the middle to try and pick out a pass to cut through their defence but considering our recent run of form up until the Chesterfield game I'm not sure you can find too many faults with his team selections recently.

Rose has been rubbish all season, yet still manages to keep his place.

Bird has done absolutely nothing wrong in any of the games I've seen him play in. In fact i think he has the best distribution of all our defenders and he offers a genuine threat at set pieces. He needs to be played.
Bird and Osbourne are at a disadvantage as they were not signed by Ardley. Would hope for changes for Woking, and lets pass the ball forward more.

Bird is also at a disadvantage because the defence that's been playing has done so very well recently, conceding only once in 6 games at Meadow Lane and Turner and Rawlinson had a pretty formidable partnership going before Connell's injury.

Don't really think we need mass changes on the back of one bad result that followed 6 good (5 if you count an away draw as bad) results
