16 year olds could be given the vote

Thanks to Labour and endorsed by the Libs kids could get the vote. It’s tactical of course as they will out number the elderly who vote conservative mostly and are remainers.
You will find Labour will offer free iPhones and free subscriptions to Netflix, while the Lib Dem’s will offer free hugs and kisses to everyone and free medals if you come last in anything.

Give it to them I say,

How is it fair you can have a child, pay taxes and join the army at 16 - but you can't vote..?

Don't worry, half of them would not bother to get out of bed and the other half could not form the cross to put in the box. They should put the voting age up to 21. If you aint old enough to smoke and drink, then you aint old enough to vote.

    “Pay taxes at 16”......mmm!?

Kids are now forced to stay in education until they’re 18 so the number paying tax will be minimal unless they’ve got a stellar part time job!

This is another desperate attempt by struggling party’s to bolster their vote.

Win yourselves an election and then legislate for allowing a foetus to vote.....that’s the correct procedure not this pathetic and desperate attempt to shoe horn this into the next election.

Conservatives should be putting forward a motion to allow voting by all corpses to even this out......it’s getting that pathetic!

So you're basically saying 16-18 year olds shouldn't get the vote because they'd vote against the Tories.

I guess more democracy is a bad thing for Tory Leavers.

Diddums - 123 wants to vote as he's 16!!!!!! Idiot!

Your comments are utter bollox too! Americans can join the army at 16 - drive in some States at 15 but can't have a beer until 21. Whether it's the UK or USA - that's life so get over it.

No 16/17 year old should not be allowed to vote, in this election anyway, just to suit the liberals desperate for votes.

16-18 year olds should not get the vote. They have trouble as it is deciding if they want be Arthur or Martha let alone deciding who should govern the country.
On another subject, remainers say we will be poorer if we left the EU. All I can say is if Labour get in we will be poorer by paying higher taxes, the country would be bankrupt (again) because of Labour’s reckless spending and the re-nationalisation of certain industries. High unemployment.
At least UB40 can re release their single “ one in ten”

You truly have some bizarre analogies.

We're not talking about America. Its a bit like me saying, 'well in Vietnam they can do (whatever I want to say) at 15 years old, so that's life and get over it..'

Anyway, its seems to be democracy when it suits you yeah...

Just remember this, the Tories are finished long term. The younger generation haven't been brainwashed by The Mail and The Sun like you have. Enjoy your evening of reading the Mail, getting angry at foreigners and people who wear rainbow laces...

    The irony in this post.

Just look up who was in power when '1 in 10' was released by UB40...

Whilst you're there, look up highest unemployment since the war and see who was in power then...

    Have a nice evening.

People who haven't held a full time aren't ready to vote.
    Seems obvious to me.
