    I now you like a bit of steam mate, so here is a large "lump" of it. Th biggest steam loco in the world, I think, and at the bottom of my garden [nearly] as well.

    Thanks for posting Woody ,used to love going on the old steam trains still remember the smell of the steam.

    I visit that dis-used station site a lot, there's a bunch of interesting stuff in there. I remember West Brom station very well and of course the old Hawthorns Halt, wooden platforms and all. Remember many a dark winters afternoon skulking back there after being robbed at your place!

    It was 1984, about, my wife is from Wombourne although she was born near Belfast.

    Hi Woody, I got married in 84. In 1974 I nearly emigrated to Canada got offered a job,a work mate of mine went and done r well for himself. When you look back on life you wonder what might have been. But life's been good to me, if I had gone i wouldn't have met my wife.

    There you go mate, you made the right decision no doubt. I loved my life in the UK at the time I was offered transfer to the US, but I am the kind of person that if I hadn't have taken it the old "what if" would have haunted me for the rest of my life.
