So are you suggesting that nothing other than football can ever be discussed on here now?

Apologies for missing the “O/T” off any recent threads but I really don’t see the problem.

If you don’t like the title of a thread nobody is forcing you to open it and read it so why is it such an issue.

    Message to the mods.

Des,Chris.......it’s been a laugh ( in the main ) over the last 14 years but it’s getting pathetic now.

Just issue me a permanent red if it makes your lives easier,

    Cheers.

There is one catalyst in all this political stuff and that is Brexit. It has divided people and families up and down the country so lets hope it gets resolved soon and we can return to normality on this great forum.

Unfortunately there’s not enough football stuff for us to go on about. International break which nobody (that I know of) likes, England matches are now almost always against third rate opposition and provide little or no entertainment. We’re not in the Premier League so have no direct reason to moan about VAR, our team is top of the league so little reason to slag them off and we have an excellent manager, so no reason to have a go at him either! We must have something to moan and groan about; if the o/t stuff is banned, this board would dry up.

I don't mind OT topics as long as they are marked O/T and are not political O/T, any political threads will be deleted or moved to another sit such as Watfords which nobody goes on. I could be a devil and put them on Cambridges.
Political threads in the past have caused fall outs, people to stop posting, or even reading the board. The board looks far healthier now the political rubbish is gone.
If you would sooner talk about other stuff rather than the Albion then perhaps this board isn't for you.

But we’ve now got people bleating about O/T threads or not using O/T on these types of threads.

FFS Des........in the past we’ve had massive slanging matches on here with Wolves and Villa posters etc lasting weeks and you Mods have let them run and run siting “free speech” and “not wanting to be heavy handed”.

The fact is that whether a topic has “O/T” or not or is ambiguous in its title nobody is forcing anyone to either read it or respond to it.

If you don’t like then don’t get involved.

This new world trend of everything having to be micro managed to the endth degree drives me nuts.

I can guarantee you that if this is reduced to a football alone site you’ll kill it.

You yourself have posted some of the funniest and most thought provoking posts I’ve ever read on here on non football subjects.

It’s a shame you’ll no longer be doing this if you follow the line being requested by some.

I think you’re in danger of over policing if I’m honest.

Mick, this isn’t anything new i’m going to say about you regarding your football posts and i’m sure you’ll remember. You are probably one of the top quality posters on the football related posts on this forum and i very much enjoy reading them. Whether the football posts are negative or positive, i enjoy reading them. However when it comes to politics, i really think it’s best to leave it out. Ive notice the difference it makes when there are no politics discussed on here.

Problem is that most things in life are political. If we talk about the FLOODS it could become political. The rubbish Police, incompetent GPs, fat nurses, Disgusting care homes, Useless (at times) NHS, etc, etc i'm fairly certain will become political. Fine lines and all that.

You are right Phil most things are political. It's the Brexit & Election posts that I found petulant, irritating and not worthy of such a great board as this.

Nobody forces anybody to read them or contribute to them.

Do you watch TV programmes you don’t like and moan about them afterwards?
