He could have just as easily bust his leg in the Morton game....footballers get injured. Training and being in amongst the international set up can only improve him as a player.

He'll be back for Ayr at hame, let him recover. Clarks on form just now as are Appere and McMullan.

It has been timely that Clark has stepped up to the plate and hit a bit of form

As above, plus his absence could have come at a worse time I suppose. Go back in time and he would have been missing the games v Dunfermline, Partick, ICT and the Funny Lot - in other words potentially a helluva lot tougher schedule as opposed to a free week then Morton and Alloa. Because of that and in no small part due to last week’s performance, I’m in no rush to see him back imminently. Make sure he’s back fighting fit first for the greater good of the rest of the season.

Was that before or after they closed the gap in the Highlands?.

Peter, when did you start supporting the Dee and voting for a lifetime of gloom? And when are you going to cross the great divide and support United. I sense you want to. It's safe to come out, honest.

Still could have been avoided. You can't not want a player to get his first cap etc , but in dead rubbers was this really the time to blood a player on top of his game and trying to help win the league with his new team? Personally I think the Scotland manager should have looked at the bigger picture and contacted LS to let him know he was defo in the frame a wee bit further down the road.

We will do fine without him if current form continues , but it's a shame that all the momentum we were building with every team terrified when he was playing has suddenly changed.

Tbh I don't think the momentum has changed. We beat QOS and kept the momentum going. Morton away we should be winning with or without him, obviously if we feck up there it's a different discussion.

"should" ??? there's that word again.
I just think that no matter what, any opponent does not want to see on the team lines "Lawrence Shankland" and now sadly that will be missing for a few weeks for sitting injured on the bench for a game that didn't really matter.
