    Ajayi

Due to work commitments I couldn’t make the game yesterday. Has anybody got any views on Ajayis’ performance in midfield against Sheff Wed?

Looked lost in midfield for the most part, as though he wasn't sure whether he needed to be an advanced part of a back three or a central midfielder. Made a couple of decent challenges in the air but was not as effective as I expected via reports out of Rotherham. Two international games as a centre half in the week allied to a lack of training in his role alongside an attacking midfielder who rarely plays centrally either would not have helped. Tried hard, kept going and could be an option in future with further training but I'm looking forward to him dropping back into defence as Livermore and Sawyers return versus Bristol City on Wednesday. Hegazi looked very ring rusty.

Thanks 68. It’s sort of what I expected really.

    Hegazi is rubbish 68.

I’ve said this since day one, this bloke is leaden footed when crosses come in in the air and he also switches off at key moments.

Paul Franks on Radio WM was saying exactly the same after yesterday’s match.

Ajayi looked as comfortable as a wardrobe in midfield which surprised me,I thought he’d be a good fit.

My first shout was that Barry should’ve played from the start yesterday probably alongside Brunt.

It’s a shame Sam Field was loaned to Charlton because these sorts of opportunities would’ve been ideal for him.

Hegazi isn't rubbish. He's rusty and Saturday saw him playing behind a makeshift midfield. As for Paul Franks he's a time served bellend.

If I thought Hegazi was generally poor and Franks agreed with me I'd step back and question my original opinion.

Although I was happy to see him come on Barry didn't start because he'd been out even longer than Hegazi. We got away with it on Saturday but Livermore and Sawyers will be back for the next game.

Anyone doubting what Livermore has brought to our central midfield this season need only reference what was missing from Ajayi's first Albion performance in the role.
