The dog poo with a red rosette knocked on our door when we told them we were not voting for them the dog poo was quite rude and borderline angry to know why. We had to explain the smell of poo was really bad this year, bad experience all round dog poo is dog poo

That has been some strategy and got to hand it to them for that.

Obviously I think that half of those voters are in for a horrible shock, and that the continuation of current policies is a disaster for our communities where we will all continue to be as unsatisfied with our lot, miserable with our towns, as blamey of immigrants (for the Conservatives have no intention of reducing immigration numbers) and generally unhappy with our lot as consumers, commuters and citizens, but it is a great feat and an election winner to unite those two factions (with a little Nigel support).
What's wrong raging, not like you to give up and two weeks to go as well, didn't the door knocking in Chingford go down too well. ( genuine question ) Come and join me in ' LABOUR FIRST ' you know it makes sense.
    I'm thinking of having a little bet,nothing substantial, probably throwing money away. 5/2 for a hung Parliament and also 12/1 for a turnout above 75%., 5/2 for a turnout between 65 % - 69%.

Or I could organize a sweepstake with cash to a local Charity.

Only done 1 session Caspy and that was fine. Just so little time. Jess Philips is in the local office on Sunday afternoon so we're going out with her. She's good for a laugh if nothing else. Think we have a chance in Chingford. Losing feeling is just going on polls and that the unity that the tories have on Brexit is going to get them through as Labour and Lib Dem remainers split. Quite rum for a Brexit ambivalent like me! Very depressing when so much thought and effort goes into looking at how we can reinvest back into essential services (very appropriate for us who work in them) to try and compensate for a decade of cutting back, closures and decay. And instead we vote in a man whose own party won't trust him to turn up for a debate on climate change!

Yeah, stick a fiver on pal - hope it comes in! :-)

    Happy Friday everyone!

Chingford is a good target, almost 50/50 remain / leave. Get the right message across and you could well win that one and I think Green Party have stood down from that Constituency. It's the Northern heartlands I warned you about a while ago, lose them and you can forget Labour for at least 10yrs, so little thought gone into it.
Lot of respect for Jess Phillips and Keir Starmer, although majority of politicians come with baggage.

I was thinking of going for broke and having £20 on.

Yep, the heartlands were always a worry, but I can tell you from voters down here that any move towards supporting any kind of hard Brexit would have had dire repercussions in London and labour South seats. The Brexit destroying machine at work...

£20? Wild man Hope you win in more ways than one!

I don't know what will happen and think predictions of a big Tory win may prove to be wildly optimistic.

If Labour do lose seats, I only hope that they sit back and carefully reflect on that. The reaction to the 2017 defeat appeared to be to celebrate not losing by a bigger margin and then veering even further to the left for this election. Had they offered a credible home for those of a moderate left position (such as myself), I suspect that they would have been romping home at the moment.

You must live near to me then.

I’ve decided to vote, just to try to give the dog poo a smaller majority

The thing is, the dog poo would better represent the interests of the ordinary working bloke in a town like Rotherham than the likes of Jacob Rees Mogg and his cronies. But that's where we are, a few more lies and false promises about "getting Brexit done" is all it takes and the working classes are hooked and prepared to vote for a party worse than a pile of dog poo. Talk about turkeys voting for Christmas

What labour policy is for working class? The £400 pound tax on pensioners? The cancellation of the marriage tax credit maybe? The nationalisation of 4 industry’s? Or is it remain vs practically remain?

Just name me 3 policy’s that are working class

Also how do you know Another party won’t be more for working class if you never try another party? It’s like saying I don’t like chocolate because iv never tried chocolate.

    From memory:

    1. £10 minimum wage
    2. National care service to end H&SC crisis
    3. Increased investment in NHS ser
    4. End of zero hours contracts and emphasis on secure work
    5. 6 years of free education
    6. Free broadband
    7. Free TV license for over 75s
    8. Most investment in NHS

And of course a substantial Green Initiative that would address the oncoming extinction of the human race, which I think will benefit the working class at least a bit

All that free stuff and they still can't get the working class vote. Working classes clearly don't know what's good for 'em. Or maybe they've figured out that 'free' doesn't exist.
