Car parking at Forge Island at the moment is restricted due to construction.
Before construction it was 2hrs free in the red zone, if not in the Red zone 2hrs was £1 and 4hrs was £2, maximum was £3.50, only Monday to Friday though.

Car park opposite New York Tavern on match day is £1.80 until 6pm.

People in rural areas have no option to use a car since the deregulation of the buses, some of the services out in the sticks
    have been withdrawn.

I,m sure it can be improved but it,s not been all bad
Rotherham council have definitely put the town on the map, thanks to them of turning a blind eye

But where do the votes lie?

The votes that supply an MP’s salary for doing feck all for those that vote for you?

With the ex miners and steelworkers of Rotherham?

Or with the 1st and 2nd generation Asian origin “workers” on the hidden economy?

Say you’re all in favour of democracy and Brexit then vote to remain.

Tick the boxes of those that might vote for you, ethnic “minority”, LGBTQ+, environmental crusader, whatever, and grab their vote. Then once elected back-pedal on all promises.

Crack that and you’re an ideal Labour candidate for Rotherham

Yes. Last year Rothetham was the fastest growing economy in Yorkshire and 8th fastest growing in the UK (according to a report by Irwin Mitchell).

Kerr - I cant find the original post to link.*

Im not comparing to pre 80s. Thatcher policy made the 80s and 90s generation richer than previous. But hers was a one off sell off for votes. The impact is being seen with subsequent generations; they are significantly worse off than their parents or grandparents.

The 2008 recession followed by 10 years of Tory austerity has made the situation signifantly worse.

What is the point of these TV debates on the election, when the audience is filled with remoaners. The ITV last night showed once again, they are just as bad as the others. No applause for leaver representatives but enthusiastic for remoaners. It really is pathetic that these people speak up for the Islington London bubble crowd and not the majority of the population. Before that we had the remainiac Marr constantly talking over the Prime Minister's answers and interupting all of the time.It was like Marr interview Marr.Yet there was very little interuption for remoaners answers, when they were questioned. So biased it's unbelievable and the voters are getting wise to this fake broadcating.

For me, it just seemed that the Remain based parties made the better arguments more forcefully. Farage very poor, normally better than this but obviously he has his Conservative deal to protect

As for Marr, I think that he was simply responding to the fact that Johnson wasn't actually answering the questions, but spinning his own interpretation of the questions so that he could get his sound bites in. A more forceful interviewer wouldn't let him get away with it. Marr realised he was only getting spin so wanted to move on in the little time he had. The problem for non Tories is that such an approach to interviewers (ignoring questions and simply saying what you want to say) can sound ok if you say it forcefully enough and the interviewer isn't strong enough to pin you down and embarrass you with the tactic. Hence, we won't go on Andrew Neill

I think you have got the Marr interview spot on rp
Lost count of the number of times Johnson mentioned how much the current state of affairs is all Labours fault & couldn't wait to use get Brexit Done mantra as did Nicky Morgan as did the pathetic Matt Hancock both on Good Morning Britain
They are obviously speaking from a rehearsed script & that script was what Marr was battling against

    Following on from Wanchai's post....

Here you go mate (see link). Pretty positive stuff don't you think?...and all this in the face of the most savage Tory cuts to public expenditure ever seen. Just think where Rotherham could have been with a Labour government for the last 9 years
