Not that I agree that we are playing like you describe at the moment but, ultimately, if it gets results next season then it'll certainly do me nicely.

Thing is though Neilson's tactics haven't been negative.

Appere & Shankland up front last night with Clark(who played as a no9 with Pars) just in behind, 2 attacking full backs and a forward thinking Stanton.

We weren't negative last night (or in a few other games where we've scraped through) we were just poor but we did dig in and fight.

Agreed. Fortunately performances like that have been few and far between under Robbie though.

It’s ugly, gritty games like this that win titles. United would have lost games like this in previous seasons. 3 points is 3 points even if they are ugly. I

After the performance and 4-0 drubbing at QOS .No way did I think we would go on a run like this. It's full credit to the team and manager to win 7 games on the bounce since. Not all the games have been pretty but we've played well in some of them and scrapped results in others. Basically what's needed to win leagues.
    Keep it up United.

Like you I was critical with some early season play and some results but it's obvious that Robbie has improved things. One example - we didn't seem to be able to split a defence with forward movement on the deck and we can now. Another example- we weren't getting behind defences on the wings much and creating good chances from crosses- we do now. So I'm prepared to give Robbie especially credit for the improvement.
Do we look like Liverpool yet? No, but then we don't have their budget do we.
If we can add real quality to the squad in the next two windows I think we'll see the kind of football you crave (and I do too) but we're still a work in progress and 10 points ahead or our biggest rival for the title.
So I think you have to give credit where it's due. On top of that he seems to have bonded the players together and the fans to the players.
