    Away to Arbroath.

Pointless saying anything about the team as it picks itself just now, although if McMullan makes it back, Stanton will drop out.

Will be a difficult game, but who will be first to feel the effects of the 3 games this week?

Both United and Arbroath are the in form teams in the league - so it's going to be a very tough match.

United are the only team Arbroath have not taken points off this season.

Expecting a big crowd from both sets of fans and a really tight match - if it was a draw, I suspect both teams would settle for that.

Don't think Arbroath will be sitting back - I expect United's defence will need to work hard.

Will be a close match and perhaps Arbroath's biggest crowd of the season.

    Roll on Saturday.

Very definitely Arbroath's biggest crowd I'd say. Form team yes, but part time team and I want them swept aside I'm afraid, we need to continue to stamp our authority on this division. With Shankland back in the team I expect us to take more of our chances this week.

This game reminds me a bot of away to Brechin a couple of years ago.

We'd beat them narrowly at home a couple of months before and we took. A big crowd up there and had to fight for a 1-1 draw in freezing conditions on a terrible pitch.

Arbroath are a lot better than that Brechin team, and although we're now better than than we wete then, Id be content enough with the same result this weekend.

I'm hoping however for a resounding 4-0 win.

Hello folks. These days, I go to the very occasional game... last game was Ayr United last season, 0-5, and then before that St. Johnstone cup final! Although last time around in the first division in the 90s, I think I only missed a couple of games home or away. 0-1, Boghead....Jesus.... anyway, I am going to the game tomorrow and catching up with a mate. Any recommendations for decent boozers in Arbroath for a pint and some grub pre game? Cheers.

There's some decent boozers in Manchester, you'd probably be best trying one of those 😂

Based on your track record there, your going tomorrow fills me with no confidence whatsoever.

It's been a long hard week for PT Arbroath squad. The last team they would choose to meet on Sat would be the top team in the league.

I think they will start off well. At home, in front of a good crowd the atmosphere will have them pumped up. We may even go a goal down early on. It wouldn't surprise me.

However, as a full time club, and as long as we keep them in check for the first half, I reckon we will take control of the game by mid-2nd half at the latest and finish the game off in the last 20 mins. They will be knackered after 80 mins and Paul McMullan (if he is in the mood) will cause havoc.

I don't usually stick my neck on the line as much as I have done, but surely to goodness we can go there and get 3 points tomorrow?

Yes, our 1st draw of the season must be due soon. But I have faith in the team to do the business tomorrow and get the win.

    Mon United!
