Disjointed at times predictable at times good at others.
Pocket still thinks we’re going up pal.
He’s convinced Warne is the long term man for the job without question.
When is he ever wrong? 
I agree Yak about we ought to be playing better but we're hardly cut adrift from the ones above apart from Wycombe.
If we're going up it may be through the play-offs AGAIN although second place isn't beyond us.
Consistency and a bit more thought into defending would help, but our goals against column isn't too bad and 11 plus goals difference is around fifth best in League 1.
    Still a lot to do.

Tin Hat on because a lot didn't like this player but....
Richie Smallwood isn't getting any game time at Blackburn, still lives in Rotherham. Loan deal in January if he wanted to come. I reckon he could still do a job for us...

Time to take a good look at the games via video and just see the basic errors we make time and time again.
Yes we have to also blame players when but that’s also down to management to sort out.

Seriously we could fetch a top striker in and still get it wrong (probably play him on wing)
He doesn't know his best side because we've hardly ever had a fully fit squad to choose from, that's where the consistency comes in. I doubt he wanted to play Hastie and Ogbene yesterday, with Crooks and Lindsay unavailable he was limited how to set up.

They do look at videos of the previous game, usually every Monday morning and point out what we did wrong. They can only give players the info on the opposition and tell them how to approach the game, ultimately it's up to the players to perform.
Didn't hear too many complaining when we battled for a point a point at Sunderland, beat Ipswich and Gillingham away.
    Swings and roundabouts.
If we were consistent we would now be above Wycombe, the reality is we're not.

Shouldn’t wingers be chosen anyway? Warne did point out when we didn’t have them has excuses.
Yes I know they say they look at videos but do they actually?
Too many mistakes over and over
I’ve made excuses up for us before but we can’t keep using them

Ogbene got injured just after we signed him.
Hastie has been out of the side.
Lamy isn't ready for a full first appearance, don't see how he can pick wingers for every game.
I'm expecting Hastie to go back to Rangers or Lamy to go out on loan.
If you play two wingers at the same time and they don't track back to help out you find yourself in trouble.
Wiles and Barlaser were outnumbered by three Southend centre midfielders yesterday, both did reasonably well.

That's what Warney said on Radio DeeDah, although I don't entirely agree. Even then, should have replaced Smith much earlier - he was struggling, plus had already been booked early in the game and was vunerable to a possible dismissal.
Agree about Smallwood , more than adequate for this division, and we don't have that type of player in the squad.

Yes we need a Frecklington/Smallwood type of player but don’t think we should go back in for any of them, time to move on imo

Lindsay could be the player in midfield (when he gets his chance) to take the players forward and get the fans behind the team, he should be captain

So who would be be your two in midfield if you want to play two out and out wingers.
Unless it’s three in central midfield, two wingers and one up front....then some people would moan..😂

Doubtful we will see two wingers starting every game.
Smallwood could do a job for us, on loan till end of season, not a permanent signing.

Probably Lindsay/Crooks but atm obviously that isn’t going to happen so Wiles/Crooks

We probably won’t see two wingers starting every game but I’m saying you can’t keep making excuse all the time, Warney used them when we didn’t have wingers, we now have them so what excuses are there now?

I just want Warney to use his head and put where possible the right/best selection for each game and not to keep making the same mistakes and using the same excuses

We won’t get away with this in the championship, we will get slaughtered

Anyway just look at the competition results we do, what do I know

Watched on iFollow, and agree with many of the comments on here.

A really, really scrappy game, with lots of head tennis being played in the wind.

Although their quick ball over the top for their second was well taken, I didn't really see them looking like scoring for the most part.

    Positives:
crossing was much better today, but sometimes Smith / Ladapo should be gambling more and getting in there.
Hastie and Ogbene looked more threatening, and Hastie was tracking back more too.
Ladapo always looks capable of a goal if its near his feet in the box.
Barlaser had a good game, with some good crosses
Wiles was back to his creative self.
Well done the 400 who made the trip.

    Negatives
At no point till the last 20 minutes did we dominate a poor team
Olly still loses his man at times
Needless bookings. Can't remember who was running clear and got cynically chopped down. It could have been a straight re. It ended up a yellow to them and 2 yellows to us for arguing about it.

The last few weeks its been a bit like our Championship year, where the aim was to stay in the game and then go for it the last 20 minutes. But we are better than that. We so need to get that early goal.
