It's odd to think but I firmly believe that if Cameron when he called the referedum had got what he wanted, i.e. a remain result, even by the small margain of the 2% then we would have remained and there would never have been any more heard about it.

As it was there was never a clamour for a referendum in the firsr place and ironically Boris, Camereon's ally, was a firm remainer in those days.

Just shows what a hunger for power can get you in politics.

Anybody on the Labour front row in a Government cabinet was a scary thought, not just her.I am glad I never voted.Couldnt vote for either of them daft cùnts.
Must admit though it will get interesting if Keir Starmer gets the Labour top job.Him and Boris having heated debates, only one winner there.Just as well Boris has 5 years.

Exactly this .. The last few years has exposed politicians of every party as charlatans , liars , no ability , and not worthy of being where they are.. And certainly not getting my vote .
Brexit forced MPs to show their true colours and pure contempt for the public .

No surprise to me,I am an ex Labour member and delegate.I live in the former mining town of Mansfield that voted 70.8 percent to leave the EU and Left wing middle class luvvies of today's Labour ignored it.We are not racist but to see all our pits closed and coal imported from Poland and to top it all 20,000 immigrants from the EU mostly Polish moving into our area was a bit of a slap in the face.

As for Boris he may act the buffoon but he is well educated and is a doer not just a theorist,he already has plans to increase NHS funding and have it enshrined in law.

The Marxist loony Corbyn and his Communist Momentum cronies promised so much that the country would go downhill rapidly if they carried half it out.
Some of those Labour MPs say we are stupid and don't know what we vote for.Well that is pure arrogance and they deserved to be booted out.
At the last election Mansfield voted in its first ever Conservative, last week he increased his majority from 1000 to 16000.

    Pit Closures

Yes Thatcher started the closures but Labour come into power in 1997 and did absolutely nothing to stop further closures.A lot closed when Blair and then Brown were running the country.

160 mines were closed under Thatcher’s time in office (1979–1990) Approx 11 years

290 were closed under Harold Wilson’s premierships alone (1965–1969 1974–1975) Approx 10 years

    apparently
