As for who is a better manager for Newcastle United, I'd definitely say Bruce.

Who is better overall is of no concern to me as of now. We have Bruce and that's what I concentrate on and back to do the job. Simple as that.

I don't particularly like Benitez. I think he's overrated and a control freak who will sell you down the river to save his own aris.
However, when he was manager I backed him at first for a good while.

There's no doubting for me that he took us backwards and his football was mentally challenging for far too long.
Feel free to argue this if you want to but I'm rigid on my stance.
Do you believe that Bruce’s brand of football is not mentally challenging

I have never experienced so many abysmal performances in a season and we are not even half way through yet. How anyone can think that the football we have played all season is entertaining is beyond me.

Look mate, get this into your head. I'm all for giving him every chance and not even thinking about wanting to blame him for anything.
If he messes up he'll rightly get hammered but now isn't that time and nor was it when he first came....but he's been getting it from some and some bitter one's that just can't let go of an overpaid mercenary.

If you want to spend your time waiting for Bruce to mess up and not have any thought for him to do well then go for it and enjoy your little bitter approach and adherence to a manager that plies his trade in China.

Aren't you a 'bitter one' in regard to Rafa ?

The brand of football this season has been shìte.It cant be dressed up any other way.We have been lucky on numerous occasions.Makes a change as we are one of the most unluckiest teams going.
If Dubravka gets injured let's see how many games we would sneak 1 nil.If it wasnt for him we would be in the bottom 3.
The thing with this type of football is that eventually the luck will run out.Lets be honest,we haven't outplayed anybody this season and that is fact. Most boring football I have ever seen,I mean in more than one game this season we haven't registered a shot on target, how can anyone enjoy that.

You've obviously forgot the West Ham and Bournemouth games then, or was they some of the ones you didn't bother watching because of the horrible football we played? Yeah we only won both by a goal and could of thrown them away but both games we completely dominated and had we had a finishing front line we could of put 5-6 goals away in both. To be honest I've not really seen anyone say they actually enjoy the football we often play. My Mrs walked in from Christmas shopping a couple of mins before Miggy scored on weekend and asked what was up. I replied this has been one of the worst games I've ever watched (from both teams though not just us). But what I do love is two mins later BANG goal, Miggys first, 1-0 and 3 points in the bag because that's football. A game where things can change in the blink of an eye and your emotions can shoot from negativity to positivity in an instant. Also answer me this how many teams team names included play this open attacking free flowing football that we dont? Not many because unless you spend and spend big you simply can't do it the league is unforgiving. So maybe you should start being happy with winning by any means possible. Who knows what we may start playing like once we've racked up adequate points for safety?

Yes, sometimes it is but, liker I said I'm willing to give him plenty of time to get the squad into his way of thinking.
Like I said before, he has to rewire robots because Benitez had them like robots and that was depressing.
At least we get some flair players among this squad....something Benitez seemed set against.

Although our football certainly hasn't been anything like enjoyable, at times, the few things I do see give me hope for better.

Under Rafa his general game plan was to counter whilst parking the bus.....but......the problem was he'd still employ this very same tactic when we went a goal or two down.
It was as if he was making sure he didn't lose by a few more goals, rather than try and get back into the game.

I've seen him do it time and time again.

At least with Bruce we do have a go to get back into games if we go behind.
I'm not interested in stats with possession and shots on target and what not. I'm interested in the effort to try by my very own eyes.
The stats can disappear for good for me but the issue is it gives the pundits their talking points, as if it was a chess game where someone moved a pawn in the wrong area....etc.

That's more mind numbing and certainly destroys football entertainment, because managers are under pressure to almost set up a team like predictable robots.

You have named 2 games out of 18 so you must agree with me.We are not good to watch,I didn't say I wasnt enjoying the results. What I am saying is eventually the luck will run out as you cant deny we have been lucky on numerous occasions.
I will leave it there as it's like banging my head against a brick wall. You were one of those at the start of the season criticising the club.Seems it's okay for some but not others.Crack on mate and enjoy yourself, treat yourself to Ashley and Bruce's Newcastle United.

You do mention him a lot in a noncomplementary way. Comes across as a tad bitter.
