Most managers end up getting the sack. Especially these days with pressure of scrutiny seeping into every nook and cranny of any club, not to mention the sickening wages paid out overall.

Look at all the names that get sacked.
It's about the now that counts because this is what fans look for with the rest simply being hope for.

Too many people are willing to wipe out their own enjoyment and match experience for the sake of looking too far ahead in doom or simply focusing their hatred on certain people who shouldn't really require much of a mention, unless they're deliberately trying to destroy a club....and for that it's fans of the clubs that go bust or are in danger of going bust who really need to worry.
That's far far far from us, so why worry?

Just enjoy the time and whine when we lose or play so dismal it warrants it....but cheer and be happy when we play decent, well, fantastic or even fair if we gain a result.

That's what football is all about.

i said i was underwhelmed by Steve Bruce and i still am. He has replaced a world class manager and yet has not won a scratch in comparison.

Oh and by the way im not just talking about points won by Bruce, im talking about his overall performance as Newcastle manager.

Rafa had a few years to work with the players and get them playing in a certain way, so you would think the world class manager he was would have some world class stats. Unless he didnt have the players to do what he wanted.

However, look at the first 10 games in the last season Rafa was our manager, he had a few years with the players by then

Look at Steve Bruce's same stats from the first 10 games, without the ability to sign his own players and not having much time

Forget the net profit. It's not about net profits, it's about getting in players capable of doing a job and training them to do that job.....and also ensuring those that you do buy and have at your disposal, are integrated into the squad system and not outcasted.

Rafa was good at that.
He also had over 3 years and took us backwards. All on 6 million a season and still wanted more wages. For what?

I have absolutely no faith in Bruce nor the senior management at the club either, but surely you must do some thinking for yourself and not just follow the trendy opinion?

From where i stand, you and the popular mob on here are more concerned with bitching about Steve Bruce than supporting the club.
I refuse to be a sheep and pull the man and his team to bits even when they are exceeding expectations!

You've just admitted that you have no faith in Bruce again...but you've come to that conclusion on your own and I'm just following?

You don't know me, but I don't follow anybody. I'm very happy to form my own opinions.

Your facts are all good and well (yet you ignore them and have no faith in Bruce) but they are mainly stats at the end of the day.

No Bruce doesn't have last season's top two goal scorers...but Rafa didn't have a proper wing back, The saint, Andy Carroll or Almiron completely used to the league...it's easy to play that game.

I didn't see the Everton game but it sounds like we played much better...that's great! Now...I CAN ONLY give my opinion on the way we have generally played this season just as it's only my opinion how attractive a certain woman may be...but it's been awful despite the points...

It could absolutely be awful last season, but there was more of a pattern to the play and some good performances...we never completely collapsed like we have on a few occasions this year..

We are not scoring enough with the forwards..I don't see how anybody thinks that's sustainable..and a don't see a flurry of goals coming from Joelinton, Big Andy etc

Finally...I have seen Bruce's career, both stats wise, what fans of his ex clubs think and from watching his teams against us...sorry I can't ignore the last 20 odd years and believe he's completely changed and become a great manager that will take us forward..

There's a few of my very own thoughts, I've posted them all at some point..you may not agree with them all...but they are mine...I thought it was unnecessary for me to rehash old arguments in a long blathering post, but hey ho...

So...no...I don't believe or trust in Bruce...he may change my mind...but that's up to him to prove me wrong..I won't change my opinion for fear that someone else might share it...
