I suppose these are 'most memorable' rather than 'best' games, but despite ending in defeat both times I will always remember them.
Going to the Sh!tty Ground in the cup game and matching them on the pitch and more than matching them in the stands was brilliant. Even losing on penalties didn't seem bad because at the time it gave us a sense of pride back. The other game is the extra time defeat at Anfield, and the moment Adam Coombes (fair play P4U) put us level after being the expected 2-0 down was just unreal. Fantastic day out, it was great chatting to Liverpool fans before and after the game and completely changed my opinion of them.

Just had a look back at that Liverpool game, and to add a more surreal element their goalscorers were Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge (2) and Jordan Henderson. Ours were scored by the mighty Yoann Arquin and Adam Coombes!

Despite our lowly position over the last 10 years we have faced a number of big name players. The Man City and Liverpool games aside, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain both played for Southampton at Meadow Lane in their 3rd tier stint and Harry Maguire played against us for Sheffield United, any others?

Good call, scored a Tuesday night hat-trick at Meadow Lane in March 2014. Also played here the following season.
