... McCrory: game after game he fails to stop crosses. Not expecting him to stop every cross, but ffs, how many times does it take to learn the no. 2 basic (no. 1 being first to the ball). It's also obvious that when he has the ball the oppo wingers simply turn him inside which results in him passing back; and gives the oppo time to mark up everywhere else. Think he's a bit dim if he doesn't see that.

... their no. 8: ignoring his ridiculous taking of all free kicks and throw in's, he bossed the mid field. When Maidenhead were in possession Rose should have taken responsibility to mark him out the game. We failed to do that and were lucky that they failed to convert any of their several chances.

As for last season I am on the camp of he could have done a bit better and by his own admission has said the same but when u walk into 30 plus over rated players, casing point none of them who have left are pulling up trees then I think it says a lot to what he walked into.
Don’t dispute your comments on this season, but let’s not rewrite history here. On the same basis he gets credit for pulling together a full team, he pretty much was backed to do the same in January last season, not just messing around with 30 overrated players (were they really over rated above the non league?). But the required results didn’t follow.

He is doing enough this season and underperformed last, in both there are excuses, but that’s the nub of it.

    Time to move on.

As for their number 8. I've never seen a player take almost every set play in a game. I wouldn't of been surprised if he took a couple of our free kicks also.

He reminded me a little of Stanley Aborah / Andre Boucard. Played the quarterback roll in front of their defence and everything went through him, hung onto the ball for ages and almost always got out of trouble... Slowly. Played a few quality balls forward/crosses.

If I were the manager I would of got Osborne or someone to sit on him whenever we didn't have the ball to keep him occupied. To stop everything going through him. We didn't!

He was a clever lad and played the ref to perfection, when he committed a foul he purposefully slowed it down by pretending to be tangled up with the Notts player, did this 3 /4 times.

Saying all that he didn't do much damage and you do wonder why at almost 29 he's never played league football since Palace released him in 2010. The list of clubs he's played for tells me, he's certainly not the answer.

If we're looking at centre miss then the bald chap who plays number 10 for Fylde would be worth a look at.....based on the only 90 minutes I've ever seen him play 😂

Damian has won 3 promotions with Burton including from this league then Div2 & 1. He has played 300 EFL including the championship but you dont think he is a left back???????.......... have another think??

... McCrory: couldn't give a flying f what he has done. He's in non-league now and doesn't stop crosses.

To be fair, most Notts full backs in recent years haven't been able to stop crosses. Funny really - you'd think that would be their number-one priority. Remember Hewitt? Bloody hell.
