From what I'm hearing, while the MLS is of a decent standard, the team he plays for are fairly ****, lie 2nd bottom of the league and he can't get a game for them.
Don’t think you can always judge things on not getting games for another club - can be lots of reasons. Up to club to judge his standard.
Paul Watson wasn’t getting a game for Falkirk - doing fine with us.

You can't, but it's all we have to go on at the moment. I'm sure Robbie will do the judging when he's on trial.

Spot on. We don’t know who they have in his position that’s kept him out of the team.

We’ve just released Troy Brown who was good enough for us but we already have other options on the books who are fit and on form.

Neilsons post match comments are interesting ...

"We're just happy to get three points and get up the road. I'd hope to have Paul McMullan, Peter Pawlett and Sam Stanton back for next week and possibly another player in as well."

Interesting and confident comment he has made there. Is this the american midfielder we have on trial? Short trial if so, but could be good business (if he is good enough) as would allow Butcher to be cover defensively too. Almost a 2 for 1 deal.
Nice to watch a transfer window with interest rather than necessity for once. Just hope no tempting offers come in. Great time for Shankland to have a mini "slump"!

Would personally like to see Clark's deal announced though. Undervalued player for us in my opinion.

Striker and midfielder is what the manager is looking for so I'd imagine it's the trialist, unless he has a surprise up his sleeve. Interested to see what Neilson has in mind for a striker. We need to be looking at next season as well as the next 5 months. Not sure Clark has what it takes for the Premiership and there's a good chance Shanks will be gone at some point next season.

His comment regarding getting striker in wld suggest I think Sow on way out? Also love Clark at this level bt not sure he wld cut it in prem. Need to play the long game here.

Agree that there has to be doubts about whether Clark would deliver in the premier league, but not sure anyone we would recruit would be any more ready or likely to succeed. At least we know what Clark does offer. Sow is the perfect example of the risks we would take. Clark deserves a chance for me and personally think there is enough in his game to potentially do well. Replacing Shankland when we have to will be so difficult anyway that just think it would be unwise to be porentially having to replace Clark too. To me that is the long game and an established player to supplement/build around is not a bad idea.

New striker is a musts but we should also give Clark a chance in top league, IMO is finishing is excellent
