It is now a very critical situation.Every effort must be made this week to bring in some central defence and full back recruitment to strenthen our depleted squad.We cannot risk, playing a team who has scored more goals than anybody else ,with a makeshift defence.

I agree a a full back and a central defender is a must , with wood and mattock contracts up in the summer if wood retires and mattock leaves (which is highly likely) we will have to bring two defenders in summer with no time to gel with the rest of the squad and with defence being a bit thin as it is it’s the perfect time to get ready for next year as well as finishing up this year.

If Morris does go back then we need to replace him personally I’d recall Yates and send him to a struggling league 1 team.

He did. Joe is signed up till summer 2022.
Richard Wood won’t be hanging his boots up just yet.
Doubtful we will sign a full back anytime soon, Mattock will be back for the Bristol Rovers game and Thompson will be available towards the end of the month.

Defender Joe Mattock has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at Rotherham United until 2022.

Both Ihiewke & Mattock signed new contracts till I'm sure 2022. We're going to need a defender as cover at least signing in this window may as well sign him now. We are a player short up front. One out one in. Not Yates.
