i disagree brin with TS not wanting to back PW in january last year. the cash was there the willingness of pw was there and since we have seen the departure of johnson whos job it was to get those players lined up in january. its leaning to be where the problem was.
either way one of the 3 didnt do there job correctly
since january TS has sanctioned the signing of 14 players
since january PW has signed 14 players and no doubt had meetings with a lot more
since january we have brought scott in plus his scouting crew (4 blokes total) who has found the club 14 new players and prob numerous others..
imo all 3 are doing a cracking job though it shows haw important it is for a club of our size to have all the right cogs in place.. one cog not pulling his/their weight and we get a failure knock on effect (last january and relegation)

Cayton, the part where you say, 'since january TS has sanctioned the signing of 14 players'. How many players did we see go? Of the new recruits, how many have been loan players?
Yes they all come with a wage, however, we have also seen 6 of our main players leave freeing up decent wages. Their wages would easily cover ones we've taken on loan.

The only serious money we've seen spent in 2 seasons was £300,000 for Purrington and £500,000 for Ladapo. I don't know what we got back for Purrington but I'll hazard a guess it's not for off what we paid for him or even more. So actually, our biggest outlay has been on Ladapo, the majority have either been picked up for free or below £100k, can't think of anyone else we paid a big fee for???

i don't think I'm not on my own when you reflect on last Januray why we didn't go that extra mile and get 1 or 2 players in til the season end that may well have kept us up. Don't forget we went down all because of 4 points. Yes Stewart would have had to pay over the odds for their services but and it's a big but, that specualtion could have also returned another 4 Million pounds for staying in the Championship.

Yes, it's all so easy to spend someone else's money but sometimes being brave through speculation can pay dividends and it was only for 12 weeks not a whole season. So far we've acquired the services of another loan and now possibly chasing a player who hasn't kicked a ball for 4 months.....uplifting news it ain't. I know patience is called for but all the talk of there's money to spend, I for one don't believe there is.

Loan players go back so if we were to gain promotion, how would the team stand back in the Championship with the loss of the loan players we would lose? Doesn't bare thinking about....

Yes, it's all so easy to spend someone else's money but sometimes being brave through speculation can pay dividends and it was only for 12 weeks not a whole season. some people say it being brave, if it doesnt come off (ipswich) some will say its stupi

I know patience is called for but all the talk of there's money to spend, I for one don't believe there is. so in 8 months time if the financial records show TS has had to put in extra cash would you stand by "we dont have cash to spend"? the money has to come from somewhere and if you check the last 5 financial records it shows with the exception of last season TS has kept us afloat

rodak towell emmanuel, lavery and think it was moore played for us the last time in league one. rodak and towell came back for the champ plus we loaned raggett and vyner hand on heart, how many of these players could we afford to buy or pay wages. most of them played very well for us. and without them we would be not even contemplating the last 6 years of rollercoaster
    .....
