The club have got the pricing wrong here. Live on TV and 2 weeks before the first pay day after Christmas means that pricing is very important.
Making it £15 and £5 would have got us a much bigger crowd, but they've gone down the greedy route because they knew Hibs would bring a large crowd no matter the prices. Dundee have been guilty of this in the last few seasons and it's disappointing that we are heading down the same route.
Another thing that's concerning regarding pricing at Tannadice is that if you decide on the day of the match to go to game, you pay £2 more than if you buy a ticket Friday or before. How is this meant to encourage people to go to games?
I've been down to Queens and to Jags already this month and I'll be at the Morton on the 25th. My boys have season tickets and I just can't afford (or justify to the wife) another £40 plus travel for a game that's on the telly.
Our allocation at the moment is 8500
At current rate of sales definitely still a very decent crowd in the Utd ends by Sunday (all things considered), the atmosphere will be more than good enough from those in the ET and Shed, a big full section of 550 behind one goal in the shed and probably be 1500 or so in the the ET lower of the 2000 out holds
Centre of GF will be well populated and all upper tiers will be nearly full
For me, it's a failure on the side of :
1) trying to get as many Utd fans as possible inside the ground to cheer the team on in the countries biggest Cup competition
2) giving something back to the fans for their outstanding, season long backing, at a time when everyone is struggling financially.
I think this is the one game we should’ve given the Shed to the hibees considering the prices were charging and it being live on the box. Would’ve looked much better on telly. Twa stands for us would be enough for us. All future league games against the big teams we should keep the Shed.
I agree. 2 stands is ample for us when you factor in that it's a Sunday at 3pm on cooncil tv and £22 to get in.....but its not just football that's pricing out the public..... Went to the pictures last night and it was £7 for a scabby looking hot dog and near 11 quid to get inso if Utd had priced this game at £15 then you could then afford to pop into the Odeon on the way home for a £7 *******ing hot dog
