Yes, Derek Kevan would definitely be in my squad as a centre forward. Scored at will for season after season until transferring to Chelsea in 1963. Never really produced the goods once he left us.

Only just realised Derek T Kevan not in my squad. Scored a hattrick in my first ever match. Got enough wingers leave out Barnes and in goes The Tank.

My memory of Bennett probably unfairly tarnished because he played in an Albion side on the decline from the heights of 78/79. Burrows I'd forgotten about don't think he played many games spread over a few seasons.

Burrows only played a few games because he was such a talent that Liverpool signed him young from us!

Not a bad list. Would probably squeeze Koumas in there over Barnes. Maybe Tony Godden over Russell Hoult. Odemwingie as well but not sure who to leave out. Remi Moses - probably not around long enough before Big Ron took him away. McCauley over Gaardsoe. Surprisingly No takers for David Mills.....

Both Brunt and Morrison gave outstanding performances and scored some memorable goals in the Premier league, which is much more competitive than the old first division.

. what was it billy bremner said about today’s footballers,with there speed and athleticism they would probably run rings around us,IF they could get the ball off us.

Injury cost Burrows a number of Albion appearances. He never played more than 17 games in a season. In his time he wore no.s 2, 4, 5, 6 as well as 3 and I saw him wear 9 away at Pompey (pre Pulis) in the mid 80's. All his games except his debut in Division 2.

I picked Ray Wilson as my second left back as imo he was one of the few who were an improvement on who they replaced in the Cup Winning side. Having said that Graham Williams was a great leader.
