Well I must be different. I dont go because of his running of the club. If he sold the club, bought another and we played his new club I wouldn't have a problem going. You are saying it's about him. So why would I then go,it doesnt make sense.
Only at Newcastle would he be allowed to so what he does. Plays on the so called loyalty. Well it's not loyalty in my eyes when they keep lining his pockets and enabling him to carry on. When this fakeover is exposed again they will be up in arms until the next League win and then off we go into the Summer ready for another fakeover.
I have never wavered in my stance so have no more to say. Said it a thousand times.
It's the so called loyal fans that are helping Ashley. Not loyalty in my eyes.
Not sure Ashley gets anything out of away tickets ,I may be very wrong like.
Not 100% sure, but I think he gets half the ticket and TV money in cup games only.
I've always been of the opinion that people shouldn't be slated whichever side of the fence they're on although, ironically, we're actually on the same side.
I'd guess that the vast majority who do attend would want Ashley gone like the rest of us. People have their own breaking point and I reached mine last Summer but until then I was determined not to let him stop me from going to support the team I love.
I haven't let my hatred of Ashley stop me going. I don't go because I think a boycott would work and couldn't, in all conscience, keep going just because I thought not enough people would stay away to make it work. I honestly think that if everybody who thought a boycott would work actually did stay away then he'd be gone in weeks-just look at the Club's reaction to 10,000 missing from the Southampton game. Not giving him my bloody hard-earned money is a bonus but that's not my motivation. The way to hurt Ashley is to hurt the thing he loves most-Shite Direct and a near-empty stadium will look bad enough on telly to hurt his brand...imo.
