Robson has a will to win as a player but I lost all respect for him when he said in pre-season before a ball was kicked that he hoped we would manage to get back to third spot in the league this year. If that’s where he’s setting the bar he’s got the wrong mindset for me - he’s take us into games against the OF with the same inferiority complex as we currently have and give the players the impression that finishing 3rd and qualifying for Europe is enough.

I can’t think of any Scottish manager I’d actually want
Probably need to understand the context of the question he was posed, in regards to the 3rd place comment.

In any case, surely a word in his ear from Redneck Dave would get that knocked out of him?

Serial winner on the pitch with the requisite level of arrogance and self belief which I’m sure he’d transfer to the managerial hotseat.

Rather than Sheerin, I was thinking more along the lines of an older head as his assistant, someone who has been there and done that.

Just wish he’d been at an Arbroath for example, and learned the ropes but maybe there is a reason why he’s hung around here since hinging up the beets.

What about we just put McInnes on gardening leave? Just pay him his wages as normal until he hopefully gets offered another job from a club. If he takes the offer of a job then we don’t need to pay him further as such (obviously holiday pay etc will be taken into consideration). It could be potentially the cheapest way to get rid of him.
We employ a new manager and job’s a good one.

What do you think out budget should be for a new manager?

How much roughly does The Anchor Man get per year? We should definitely be looking for someone better equipped and has a better drive than Del has for whatever he earns. We will obviously be paying for 2 managers as such until the contract of McInnes has ran down or someone entices him into a new job. Whatever happens we are going to have to pay him anyway. The gardening leave just means we pay him weekly/monthly like normal until the contract runs out.

Whatever it is Milne should pay it in full after his mates rates contract extension to Mcinnes.

Sorry to keep banging the same drum but Barry Robson makes Jimmy C look like Albert Einstein and Sheerin is a failed Arbroath manager. We need to do better than either of them.

They’d need to get at least what McInnes is on, else imagine you we’re getting paid less than that of the manager you replaced who was still getting paid by the club.
All sounds rather diet Hunnish to me.

You do realise that Cormack’s takeover was 2 years in the running, so he’d have been involved in the decision.
Indeed he was on the board in 2017 and vice chairman at the end of 2018 before McInnes got his extension in July 2019
