Seigrist
Smith Watson Reynolds Robson
McMullan Butcher Harkes Appere
Clark Shankland

So if I'm right there's 3 players there that didn't play tonight, McMullan Appere Clark.

The bit I dont get is if it's the managers job to coach a regular set up for home and away, he should know which player replaces any player dropping out. So why are we getting so many lineup permutations? 3 midfielders, Pawlett back in, Sow back in, and so on? Any good team has a set formation for home definitely and usually away too, eg 442 home 4321 away, or the same home and away. The players get used to it, they get used to each other and a player coming into the lineup should be playing the role he's given so that the playing pattern remains constant and understanding improves. Robbie seems to be changing it so often that a style and a winning way of playing isn't being allowed to settle and develop. Sometimes when I watch matches I'm thinking the players don't know each other. And dont get me started on the technical ability but that's probably a different thread altogether.

This isn't meant to be criticism for the sake of it, I'm genuinely mystified with these players why we're not seeing settled decent football.
'technical ability' and 'decent football'...
Sigh... If only...
