Its most likely within the communit in the Uk anyway, apparently you can be infected for up to 5 days without symptoms, by which time you may have infected a score of other people who infect others and so on.

Still no clear understanding as to how many more people are dying than would usually do so at this time of year, so again difficult to gauge overall effect.
Can’t help thinking it’s a tad naive of you to suggest it’s all ‘conjecture’.

It seems to be so when the politicians open their mouths but when the experts speak I, for one, am inclined to listen.

Johnson doesn’t even seem able to get his head round the rudimentary advice about handshaking but thankfully he is allowing those who do know what they’re talking about to take centre stage.

My concern is that some are possibly putting profit before protection. It would, for instance, cost a fortune to cancel such events as Cheltenham week, postpone the remainder of the football season or to place restrictions on people’s ability to travel abroad but it may be the right thing to do. With Easter and the holiday season on the near horizon will government/insurance companies have the wisdom and integrity to advise cancellation and the massive costs that will involve?

Its a good thing that its not annual political party conference season. If they ban mass gatherings they would have to cancel all of them, although probably not the LibDem one.

Put this here rather than start a new thread.......

Forest's owner has Corona virus. Wolves Europa League game at Olymiakos could be off because of it as could all Red Dog and Millwall games for a couple of weeks. Derby's game at the Wall this weekend could be off.

Judging from that photo, unless he actually shook hands his waist size would ensure him keeping a ‘significant distance’ from others!
Doubt he and Kenny Burns could physically manage a handshake.

Johnson knows **** all about anything so he has no choice, but to allow people who he hopes have a clue speak.

BUT naivety could be assuming that the "experts" whoever they are maybe have a handle on what to do? Often actions are taken because those in charge have to be seen to be doing something, even if what they are actually doing isn't necessarily changing anything much. It does after all reassure people like yourself.

Lol...I’m reassured by very little with regard to what is going on in relation to all this at the moment, but I would always prefer to follow the advice of experts, in this case scientists and ‘medics’, rather than mealy mouthed politicians.

Clearly there is such a thing as Coronavirus...clearly it spreads relatively ‘effectively’...clearly human gatherings and sociability help that spread...and clearly it’s impact on human beings varies from trivial to terminal...with all due respect none of that is, as you describe, ‘conjecture’...it is, at the risk of sounding like Rats...FACT!
