Lol Not sure about that, whilst everyone was scrapping over pasta packets earlier, I found myself placing 2 crates of beer in my trolley!

It isn't, he is on about ISM's

You know, those things that the left/Liberals don't like to be discussed in depth, just used as a weapon. Ask Mr Phillips.
There is such a thing as teacherism, as popular as you love Thatcherism.

Second daft attempt to politicise an apolitical thread I see, Tricky.

Anyway...now Nadine Dorries has it I expect Parliament will have to be shut down as well as NFFC.

So first match in premier league cancelled and its the fault of NFFC!

Now wait for the whingers claiming to have flown into England from (insert Country here) "just to watch this match" claiming someone owes them compensation including their entire flight costs and weeks of hotel bills

I'm flying in for a certain game, first weekend of April.... or that's the plan at least. Hotel and flight paid for by Credit Card. If a travel ban comes into force I can probably get the hotel and flight costs back from Visa. If the match is off but KLM run the flight, then there is no compensation for me. If the match is off, KLM aren't running the flight but the hotel is still open, I won't get any compo for the hotel either.

Travel insurance? Looking at that but I think that wouldn't offer me any more than Visa already covers. Basically, a case of 5h1t happens.

If the match is off but the flight is on and the hotel is open, I will be in Derby spending copious amounts of cash in bars and restaurants for 3 days. Might as well enjoy myself as opposed to staying home and losing £200+ on the flight and hotel.

Sorry to hear that, MA...though not sure why you’d book a hotel that isn’t cancellable for up to twenty four hours beforehand.

If it makes you feel any better I’ve got about £3k ‘invested’ in a planned trip to the States...hotels are as I’ve described but flights and main accommodation will be subject to and hopefully covered by travel insurance unless they try and make out that the virus is an ‘act of God’. Wouldn’t put it past them.

Seemed insane to me that about three thousand fans from Madrid were allowed into Liverpool yesterday, but apparently Eurovision looks likely to have to be cancelled...every cloud!

Cheaper rA..... tight wad that I am

We always book 3 months prior to the game we are going to. Hotel is cheaper when non-cancellable. We book Friday to Sunday to cover most eventualities of kick off times. Over the years we've only not seen the game once. That infamous Cardiff game that didn't happen. Last season's Red Dogs game got moved to the Monday evening for Sky. No problem, extend the stay in the hotel by 2 days and book a new return flight.

Never dreamed, when we booked, we'd be at the mercy of Corona virus as to whether or not the game would go ahead or we could actually travel or would the hotel be open....

I will check out insurance over the course of today and tomorrow....... if it would offer financial solace I will take out a policy.
