Too hard to tell at this moment in time. Powers came to us having not kicked a ball in 3 months. Who knows what he'll be like once fully fit with a pre-season under his belt.
Butcher is decent at this level. Looking forward to seeing if he's improved from his last spell with us, as I wasnt convinced he was all that great in the Premiership last time. His performances vs Hibs haven't given me much hope that he's any better at a higher level tbh.

Ken what, Watson was quite rightly berated for the penalty the gave away on Saturday but in that replay at Easter Rd our captain gave away a penalty with a ridiculous rash tackle at 1 - 0 up with a few minutes left of the half to go and not much said about it really.

Not going to say anything else on the Butcher /Powers debate as I don't like slagging aff oor players but I'm with you on this - I never thought Butcher was up to much the 1st time around either and the mighty Mansfield Town didn't think so either.

Agreed. Almost nothing was said about that penalty but it was a terrible, lazy challenge and ultimately gave Hibs the momentum in the tie to then go on and win the game. We were fine until that point. His positional sense was poor for at least one of the other goals as well. I know it was a one-off tie but it let us have a look to see where our players were, compared to where we want to be. Unfortunately a few stood out as being nowhere near Premiership quality. Robson & Smith both a had absolute nightmares to name but two.

Without attempting to debate the ethical and moral implications of the current situation, from a purely football perspective I think this temporary shutdown has come at the right time. We need a bit of a regroup and re-set to refresh for the final push. Plus, and it’s a BIG plus, Clark will now be back and by golly we have missed him.

Back to what though? How many teams will have a fit team, how many will declare a full team and why would they? I reckon we are the only team with something to lose if the season gets declared null and void except maybe Arbroath as they were expected to go doon.

I highly doubt the season will be declared null and void. Euro 2020 is defo getting binned. I suspect then what will happen is the season will recommence about the beginning/middle of May, aiming to finish by end of June. Later close season thereafter with new season put back to start circa about middle of September with re-formatting of League Cup to accommodate this.

Think you're about right here. Hopefully we'll have a few new signings for the start of the end of the season! 😂

This sounds absolutely sensible. Well done JMc!

And, therefore will probably not happen.

Basically, they will do whatever keeps the Celtic and Sevco hoards as 'happy' as possible. Nae chunt else matters.

LOL - yes, that could be interesting; especially with players transferring to opposition clubs before the end of the season too. Players' contract dates will stand legally. Which means we could see some interesting line ups if the season goes into June. Which seems more likely now.

We will also have Appere and Shankland available for Arbroath now as well - frankly with the almost certain absence of the two of them combined with recent form, that was definitely the one upcoming fixture that was making me feel uneasy.
