    Self Isolate for how long?

In my opinion all this Covid 19 is nonsense its just flu, which the press and media for there own reasons have massively inflated and over dramatised

Why don,t we all just get on with it, no matter what the virus can not be stopped

Its one thing for people to self isolate for a week or 2- but for how long, 1 month, 2 months a year?

Life has to go on, most of us average joes have to go to work to earn a living, society cant just stop for months

It really isn't 'just flu' according to scientific/medical consensus..

This briefly but succinctly explains the differences and, of course, some similarities...

I wouldnt take to much notice of scientific or medical consensus, they are non the wiser about covid 19 than your average joe

It still doesnt change the fact that whatever this covid 19 is- it cannot be stopped so we might as well carry on.

If this virus persists for long time- probably for ever now like the normal flu, are people going to self isolate for ever?

Of course not! I never get flu. Why? Because I get a flu jab every year.

No doubt somewhere along the road there'll be a corona virus jab.

The flu jab is only 60-70% effective against a flu virus. There are millions of strains of influenza going around the world at any time.

Most vaccines just isolate one part of a virus and attack that.

As far as I am aware, it is near on impossible to vaccinate against a virus. The best way is just to let it take it's course.

Not only is this last statement poppycock, it is dangerous and misleading. The only fact is that a vaccine is not 100% effective against a virus.
And why do we wash our hands? Because they are likely to the repositories of anything being issued from our lungs / mouths.

Coronavirus is a strain of influenza. Is is a mutation of the SARS virus, that took the east by storm in 2003-2004.

Unfortunately, some people do die from influenza. It is just a fact of life. Worrying about it, is like worrying about dying from a car accident or cancer. You can take precautions to minimise the risk by not driving or smoking, but if you're the unlucky one, that's it.

What the Prime Minister announced today is the most sensible course of action. Protect the vulnerable and let the rest get on with it.

It's a shame the rest of the world hasn't followed suit.

Ah, the impetuousness of youth. What do you do when there's no work to go to?
