This will whack some clubs very hard. If the season ends as at the weekend clubs will get no more income for 5 months (or, effectively, till season tickets go on sale for next season).

Last week a club owner said lower league clubs get between £25k and £45k of match day income (outside of season ticket sales).

Further, I wonder if shirt sponsors, perimeter board sponsors, other match day sponsors and concession holders (out soursed catering) will be willing to pay if games arent being played.

Could TV companies with-hold payments if no matches are being played?

It will effect the businesses of owners and could impact on their ability to finance shortfalls.

Any club with high gearing or hand to mouth existence will really suffer.

Skim 5% off the prem league budget and share it between the lower leagues. That would give a boost of about 1.8 million per club. That should keep the wolves away

And Roly is thinking of skimming 5% off the rich in this country to distribute to the rest of the population.

Obviously the elderly need to take care but let’s not forget to keep an eye on them if we can.

The over 70’s could be isolated in next few weeks if it gets worse so I hear
Doctors (well my area are) are taking over the phone consultations, appointments will be offered if they think you need one

Just thinking last night that we are all gonna get pretty pissed off with the news everyday spreading doom and gloom and getting worse by the day. I think they could at least put some positive spin on it by saying how many people are recovering or what self isolating people are doing to keep their peckers up.

That’s what they do and some actually panic because of it

The reality is we don't know how much the infection has been passed on to other people and from what we know so far from its origins in China it's spread massively rapidly .

Quote me figures in two weeks time and you are looking at figures in terms of thousands in my opinion .

It's real and its taking lives by the thousand , you will know somebody who has lost their life to this virus .

    Trust me you will .
Point I'm making animallittle3 is how quick things can change, & many more will add to the list, mayb it gives people a kick up back side to change their habits on hygiene.

I don't know whether its been mentioned, but one of the most common things that will pass on the virus, is money notes & coins etc.
Example think match days we go in pub, get our drink hand over money, get our change, other peoples money, people been to toilet how many have washed their hands, so the hygiene goes to the wall.
Personally I wash my hands after a p*ss etc, then when coming out of toilets , open the door with my little finger at the top of the door handle, but could be a waste of time, back to the bar, get my change, money that's been handed over by people using the toilet, sneezing in their hand etc.
Same with the supermarket, might be better paying with a bank card, so not handling change, then again the person at the checkout has been handling money, goods / items bought by people.

Maybe switch to be more positive from about 2 weeks time. But for now we need to know the truth so we can all take proper precautions.

Remember a week ago on here and other social media people saying this was being blown out of all proportion as the impact of the virus was not be that great. Some on here saying they would not self isolate and take their chances.

Not saying we shouldn't have the truth or be lead into becoming complacent but we need to also know that most of us will come out the other side relatively unscathed at least which we will. Bit like the war as need to keep our peckers up as well. Maybe split the news into half the bad and the good.
