    FAO Pboro.

It's all relative really. I bet that (outside of the richer countries) the Africans won't bat an eyelid over this - diarrhorea kills far more kids in a week there than this virus ever will and then you move onto the other nasties like malaria, yellow fever, etc.

In Europe and USA where life is very easy, it's a different story, mainly because people who live there have relatively little to worry about most of the time.

Personally I'm concerned for my mum who is 78 and has asthma but she lives in the sticks and so, with a few sensible measures, should be OK. For me, I'd rather get it now so I don't have to queue for as long in the hospital (if that's necessary) compared to later.

most people the symptons are flu like
they are now saying some could have had it and not realised as they would have just put it down to seasonal flu

one doctor who has it was on bbc2 and said she had gone 2 rounds with mike tyson

    so man flu then

and yet we are shutting the whole country down over it

    over reaction

yet they want 60% of the nation to get it so we can get an imune system against it

how many people would go to the dctors if they had self diagnosed themselves with flu when it could have been the virus

im concerened for mine as well and for all the older peple which is why telling them to stay in and let the families do what they should do ie bring food and visit them take their dogs for walks etc etc
but forcing them to stay in ins to me a little draconian

pat would be on here 24/7

    is this across europe ???

over half a million died due to swine flu

in america one of the larger countries nearly 6.5 million cases of swine flu
    corona virus about 1200
so it has a huge way to go if its to be anything like the swine flu

did we shut schools shops gatherings etc then

any dead is a tragedy but it needs to be put into perspective

last year in europe over 25500 lives were lost in road accidents ,over 135000 seriously injured

yet we stop flights for about a 1000 some of who have underlying health issues anyway

in italy a lot are elderly people living in remote parts of the country

The three states bearing the brunt of the coronavirus pandemic in Europe have all recorded their highest death tolls for a single day.

Italy saw 368 deaths bring its total to 1,809, Spain recorded 97 more deaths for a total of 288, and France reported 29 deaths, giving a total of 120.

The UK also saw a single-day record, with 14 new deaths and a total of 35.

Try telling the loved ones of those that died that they have lost their minds!
