Worldometer corona virus update for UK for today : 156 new cases, 1 new death
Switzerland, with more corona virus infections than us, reporting only 4 new cases today, but 4 new deaths

Aah! The advantages of 20/20 future vision!

Boris broadcast summary - don't go to pubs, restaurants, theatre for next 12 weeks (although they are not being officially closed), BUT schools (and colleges?) will remain open .
Also said (I think - it wasn't very clear)) that sporting events/ mass gatherings that go ahead will have no emergency service cover until that period is over
    Bit vague and amateurish?

Cayton, I think buying a property is probably the safest move, if its residential investment (id stay away from commercial investment thats without strong lease covenant for at least 6 months)

Someone today told me he put his money in oil when the crisis started, he thought it was wise...hes down 48% in one month! some Gold traders have suspended purchases as its too crashed 11% this week.

Keep your eye on October for potential big gains, its traditionally the best time to invest, I think this year could be a record

If people dont go to restaurants and pubs this bug might be doing us all a favour cos it will stop us eating and boozing too much. The only thing that will be left to us are healthy pursuits.

I wonder as well if there might be a mini baby boom in about 10 months time.

Seems a bit contradictory that a pub or restaurant is viewed as a dangerous environment, but a classroom (often with more bodies in) isn't. Plus, with changes to the retirement age , there will now be more "at risk old timers" teaching the kids, administrating, providing meals, etc .
That's what the experts are telling Boris though , according to him...

World Health Organisation bottom line is "Test, Test,Test". Not to test is to try to fight a fire with our eyes closed. What have we done?- stopped testing self isolators - brilliant
