Cant understand why supermarkets are not dealing with the supply chain better for things like soap and sanitiser.

Went to Morrisons at 8.30 on the way to the gym and the shelves were stripped again, the cashier said the queues at 6.00 were 40 people deep

Many more people have been killed by the flu than this virus so far in the UK, so this could be a massive overreaction, or we could end up like Italy, hope it's the former.

It's going to be very dull over the next few months though, no football, no pubs, no restaurants, no cinema, no music concerts, no shopping.

I presume that first priority for sanitisers will go to hospitals and the like.

i would think regarding funerals that if people have died from the corona virus their families may still have it and even if people have died from other causes you still have the proximity of people.
In Italy they've been banned, only a few nearest and dearest are allowed to attend.

And they're live-streaming them in some places in the USA.

I agree GF but the small retail ones wont be used by hospitals, at a time when cleanliness is foremost you cant purchase the products.

Ideally, these products should be given to poorer households free of charge

    It’s a joke this site.
I expect it was when I either added or updated the O/T

    This old chestnut.

It's universally reported by medical experts that COVID 19 is at least 10x more lethal than flu.

Interesting that a few on here keep saying that cases in China are down. Surprised our news agencies (who will be operating under restrictions) are even bothering to report that nonsense.

I'm waiting for Morgan Freeman to pop up to address the people of the free world. Or Orson Welles to address us all on the radio.

No problem. In fact I think it was when I amended to title from Corona Virus Ship to Corona Virus Thread to try to keep all posts under one umbrella.

Wonder what's different in German to the rest of Europe. Over 10,000 cases 27 dead.
