I'm pretty sure kids coming home from school are asking there mums and dads such questions. KIds who might lose grand parents etc.Are they politically motivated. You talk nonsense....

I don't think that any health system is prepared. How unprepared we are will be clearer in the coming months and years.

The government have stood up in my opinion to help renters and the lower paid with their announcement today .

80% of your income guaranteed and with common sense you should be able to see it through .

What sort of financial state the country will be in when all this is over is perhaps for a conversation at another time .

Do you not think it would be a good idea to try to be ahead of the game bearing in mind what has happened in the rest of the world. Just to show I am not getting at the Tories,any government?

My second question is looking at it from the point of view of someone who is non partisan. Is our health service ready for what is coming?

If you think it is and that proves to be correct great. If you dont think it is. Can you tell me why?

Question 3. Could we have been better prepared for a pandemic given ALL govts were warned that this was going to happen?

Let's go back to the original post on this thread. Let's go back to that ship and the noise about getting British subjects to the UK. Let's focus on the planes that came back and the quarantine centres set up in the Wirral and elsewhere.

Tongue in cheek I said it at the time but obviously didn't post it on here because I would have been likened to Hitler or worse. I think Grist actually posted as much.

The stories were starting to circulate and the media got hold of it. we saw the video from the guy on the ship asking for the government to do something.

We brought them back.

Grist said send a gun ship. I'd have quarantined that ship out of sea and I definitely wouldn't have let anyone back in the country.

100% if that had happened you and this idiot who keeps throwing accusations around would have been up in arms.

Good answers. Just as a follow up why is NO health system prepared given the warnings? A junior school kid might innocently ask this. What would you say?
